Schedules employee work hours; Directs and coordinates activities of workers or staff; Estimates materials or labor requirements; Washes, peels, cuts, and seeds fruits and vegetables; Weighs, measures, and mixes ingredients, season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment. Uses oral or written communication techniques; Inspects facilities or equipment for regulatory compliance; Inspects supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to health standards; Determines production schedules and worker-time requirements; Estimates amounts and costs and requisition supplies and equipment; Trains and instructs cooks and workers in proper food preparation procedures.
